23-Year-Old Hoover Man Struck By 2 Vehicles On Lorna Road

A 23-year-old man died after being struck twice by separate vehicles while crossing Lorna Road Saturday night.

HOOVER, AL — A man died Saturday night after he was struck by two vehicles while crossing Lorna Road in Hoover, police said. The Hoover Police Department reported that the incident occurred just after 11:40 p.m. Saturday.

Hoover police said and investigation concluded that the victim was walking across Lorna Road when he was struck by a 2014 white Toyota Avalon traveling South on Lorna road in the outside lane.

Police said the victim came to rest in the inside southbound lane where he was also hit by a 2002 brown Chevrolet Trailblazer. Both drivers remained on the scene and criminal charges are not expected at this time.

The victim was identified by the Jefferson County Coroner's Office as 23-year-old Caleb Tyrell Tarver-Clifton of Hoover.
