Man Shot In Hoover Apartment Parking Lot
A man sitting in his car in the parking lot of a Hoover apartment complex was ambushed by two men with guns.

HOOVER, AL - A man was shot while sitting in his car Tuesday night in the parking lot of a Hoover apartment complex. The victim was shot in the back and is expected to recover.
Hoover Police responded to a report of shots fired in the parking lot of the 800 building of The Park at Wakefield and Wellington apartments around 11 p.m. Tuesday. Officers and medics arrived on scene to find a male victim sitting on the curb with a gunshot wound to his back.
The victim told the Hoover PD that he was sitting in his car in the parking lot, when two black males approached his vehicle and started shooting at him. He said he drove away and the suspects followed him in a grey Dodge Charger. The suspects reportedly fled the area and the victim returned to the apartment complex where he was treated by Hoover Fire and Rescue.

The victim was transported to UAB hospital by ambulance with non-life-threatening injuries.
