Manlift Overturns In Hoover; Man Inside In Stable Condition

The cause of the failure remains unknown, according to the Hoover Fire Department.

HOOVER, AL — Hoover Fire units responded to a man lift accident this morning, a fire department spokesperson told Patch in an email.

The lift collapsed at around 10:08 a.m. Wednesday at the corner of Old Montgomery Highway and Riverchase Parkway, according to HFD spokesperson Duane Prater. One man was in the lift at the time, and was transported to UAB Hospital in stable condition.

The cause of the failure is unknown and being investigated, Prater said.
