Package Thefts Reported In Ross Bridge Area
The Hoover Police Department is looking into reports of incidents of package theft in the Ross Bridge area.

HOOVER, AL - A crime that has become increasingly common now that more people are shopping online and having goods delivered to their homes has been reported multiple times in the Ross Bridge area of Hoover recently. Residents have reported incidents of package theft in the area, and the Hoover Police Department is currently looking for a suspect caught on video.
"Since April 4th, we’ve had 7 reports of packages being stolen from the front porch of residences in the Ross Bridge area," the Hoover PD said in a statement. "The latest theft was reported yesterday but actually occurred on May 4th. As you can see in the attached video, the suspect drives past a residence when he notices a package sitting on the front porch. He parks the vehicle in front of the residence and runs up to the porch to steal the package. He then returns to the vehicle and speeds away."
The Hoover PD posted a video on social media from one of the victims.

- Have video surveillance of the front porch/entry. Also have a sign stating that you have video surveillance
- Have a trusted neighbor pick up the package and keep it until you get home
