Police Chase Involving Stolen Taxi Ends In Hoover

HOOVER, AL — A high-speed police chase that spanned multiple counties in Alabama finally ended near the Riverchase Galleria Monday. A report by WBRC said Alabama State Troopers began the chase on I-59 in Tuscaloosa County just before 3 p.m.

The driver of the stolen vehicle merged onto I-459 North and exited at mile marker 10 in Hoover, then stayed on Alabama 150 toward U.S. 31, striking two Trooper vehicles before the chase ended at Galleria Blvd., WBRC said.

The driver was taken into custody, but has not been identified publicly.
