Sylacauga Police Chief Kelley Johnson told Alabama Media Group that investigators are working to build a case in the teen's death. "I can't disclose anything right now because we don't want to put too much out there,'' Johnson said. "No one is in custody, but we have a person of interest. We're just waiting to be able to make charges."

Kizer, 17, at one point attended Spain Park High School but was not enrolled during the past school year.
