Police Investigating Early Morning Hotel Robbery

HOOVER, AL - Hoover Police Department investigators are looking into an armed robbery that occurred at the Hyatt Place hotel located on Highway 280. The event occurred December 21.

According to a report from the Hoover PD, a black male wearing a grey hoodie, gold glasses, with his face covered entered the hotel and immediately went behind the front counter. He tried to open a cash drawer but was unsuccessful. The suspect then went to the kitchen area where he encountered two employees. He pulled a handgun and led them to the front desk demanding that they open the register. The suspect took cash from the register and left the area. There were no injuries.
