Police Investigating Jewelry Store Robbery

The Hoover Police Department is investigating a robbery at Jared on Galleria Circle Saturday.

HOOVER, AL - The Hoover Police Department is investigating a robbery that occurred Saturday at Jared jewelry store on Galleria Circle. The incident happened at 6:58 p.m., according to reports.

Hoover police responded to Jared at 3460 Galleria Circle on a report of a robbery, according to a Hoover PD report. Witnesses stated a black male, wearing a mask and carrying a sledgehammer, entered the store and struck the top of a display case.

He reportedly announced, “This is a robbery,” and two additional suspects with sledgehammers entered the store with their faces covered. After taking an unknown amount of jewelry, the suspects reportedly fled the area in a dark colored car.
