Riverchase Shell Station Robbery: Suspect In Custody
Hoover police arrested a suspect in the Monday morning Riverchase Shell Station robbery.

HOOVER, AL — A robbery at the Riverchase Shell station on Riverchase Parkway East Monday morning had Hoover police on the lookout for a suspect they saw fleeing the scene of the robbery. The suspect, 35-year-old Dennis Dewayne Davis, was arrested later and charged with first degree robbery.
Police say Davis fled the scene of the robbery in his vehicle when a Hoover officer arrived. Deputies from the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office encountered the vehicle on I-459 North near I-20 where it was involved in a crash.
Hoover police say Davis fled the crash site on foot, but was captured a short time later. He was transported to the Hoover City Jail without further incident and will be transferred to the Shelby County Jail and held on $40,000 bond.
