COLQUITT COUNTY, GA - The coach who put Hoover High School football on the national map has been terminated by the Colquitt County Board of Education. The board voted unanimously to fire Rush Propst, the former Hoover coach who led the Bucs to five state champiosnhips, and Colquitt County to two.
The board spent two hours behind closed doors, evidently to discuss information from the investigation which was announced in February, according to a report by the Albany Herald. Because no information on the reason for the firing was released, many Colquitt County fans were not pleased with the board’s decision and have voiced their opinions on social media. Some have called for all of the current board members to be voted out.
