Sexual Assault Suspect Arrested By Hoover PD

A man who allegedly groped a woman in an e-cigarette shot in Hoover has been arrested.

HOOVER, AL - A 35-year-old man has been arrested and charged with Sexual Abuse First Degree after police say he groped a female customer at an e-cigarette store in Hoover. The suspect, Rashad M. Almuradi, reportedly worked at the store.

According to a report by the Hoover Police Department, Tuesday afternoon, October 2, at 12:17 p.m., Hoover police responded to the 1600 block of Montgomery Highway on a report of a sexual assault that just occurred. The victim, a 25-year-old female, reported she was shopping at Pharaoh Vape when the clerk began making unwanted advances toward her. The victim stated he then grabbed and groped her in a sexual manner until another customer entered the store. She immediately drove to another location and called police. Officers made contact with the suspect at the business and took him into custody.

Almuradi was transferred from the Hoover City Jail to the Jefferson County jail Wednesday afternoon.
