Shelby County Man Charged With Child Abuse

SHELBY COUNTY, AL — A 23-year-old Alabaster man has been arrested and charged with aggravated child abuse stemming from life-threatening injuries to his infant daughter. An Alabama Media Group report said Aaron Lee Ward was arrested Thursday and booked into Shelby County Jail.

The child remains hospitalized, and although she is in critical condition, she is expected to survive, according to the al.com report.
