HOOVER, AL — A vehicle crash in Hoover resulted in the arrest of two shoplifting suspects Tuesday. The wreck occurred in the 1600 block of Montgomery Highway.
A report from the Hoover PD said officers arrived at the scene of the wreck around 6 p.m. and were advised that a male and a female ran from the scene toward the Green Valley neighborhood. Witnesses chased the suspects and guided officers to their location, where they were taken into custody without incident.
Dispatch then received information that two shoplifting suspects had just fled TJ Maxx in a green Mercury Mountaineer, which matched the vehicle involved in the wreck. Store employees were able to positively identify the suspects as the same two who had stolen items and left the area.
