Spain Park Girls Make Final Four

JACKSONVILLE, AL - The Spain Park Lady Jags have reached the Alabama High School Athletic Association Tournament Final Four for the second straight year. The Jags blew past Huffman Tuesday at Jacksonville State 61-39.

Spain Park was led by Sarah Ashlee Barker's 24 points and nine rebounds. Barker scored 20 of those 24 points in the first half, and was responsible for the first 16 points of the game for the Lady Jags. Barker was named Regional Tournament MVP, and teammates Bailey Bowers and Claire Holt joined her on the All-Tournament team.

Spain Park will play the winner of the Auburn v. Robert E. Lee game Tuesday afternoon in the semifinals. Sparkman and McGill-Toolen already punched their tickets to the BJCC earlier Tuesday.
