Spain Park's Blake Hester Commits To Murray State

HOOVER, AL - A major cog in the Spain Park High School football team's success this past season was senior defensive lineman Blake Hester, a transfer from Pelham High School. The six-foot-three-inch Hester, who played both defensive tackle and nose tackle for the Jags in 2017, announced over the weekend he will be playing at the next level. Hester committed to Murray State, making the announcement via social media.

Hester said, "Not only do I loo forward to continuing my academic an football career, I am also looking forward to bettering myself as a person and starting the next chapter of my life at Murray State University."

Murray State, in Murray, Kentucky, competes in the Ohio Valley Conference in the Football Championship Subdivision.
