Theft Suspect Wanted For Questioning By Hoover PD

Police are trying to identify a suspect in a vehicle break in and credit card fraud case.

HOOVER, AL - The Hoover Police Department this week released video footage of a suspect in a vehicle break-in and fraudulent use of a credit card case. The incident occurred May 14.

Hoover police said the victim’s vehicle was broken into in the 600 block of Preserve Parkway. A short time later, the suspect attempted to use the stolen credit cards at Best Buy Riverchase Village. The suspect's vehicle is unknown.

In the meantime, Hoover PD wants to remind citizens of the following safety tips when parking a vehicle:

  • Remove valuables from plain view, or remove valuables from the vehicle
  • Lock the doors
  • Make sure the alarm is activated
  • Write down makes/models/serial numbers
  • Check bank and credit card accounts often
  • Have fraud alerts/notifications set up
