2. Mobile man accused of shooting intruder; grand jury to review case (wkrg.com) — In West Mobile, a Mobile County grand jury will decide whether to charge a resident who shot and killed a man accused of breaking into his home on Calgary Drive. Police say the intruder entered through a window, and the District Attorney's Office has forwarded the case for review as neighbors and family members share differing perspectives on what happened.
3. Semmes takes next step toward its own school system, hiring attorney (mynbc15.com) — Semmes leaders are exploring breaking away from Mobile County Public Schools, hiring an attorney and awaiting a feasibility study after residents strongly backed a separate city system.
