🌱 Box Owt Food Court Breaks Ground + MPD Finds Stolen Tow Truck

Here are the top 3 stories in Mobile today:
- Box Owt, Mobile's first open food court, broke ground on Monday on Dauphin Street. Located next to the Downtown Mobile Alliance, Box Out will be made using repurposed cargo containers. The business will serve as a space to allow small food makers like food trucks to have a space in downtown Mobile, essentially offering a variety of restaurants and dining choices in one place. (WKRG News 5)
- On Monday, Mobile Police Department officers discovered a stolen tow truck while responding to a domestic violence call. The officers discovered that 38-year-old Michael Langley was in possession of a tow truck that was not registered to him; the truck had been stolen out of the county's jurisdiction. Langley was arrested on the scene. (WKRG News 5)
- The rise in violent crime has pushed the Mobile Police Department to take extra measures to keep people safe. Mobile police were scheduled to start safety checkpoints Sunday; however, these plans have been delayed, and the department stated it will release more information this upcoming week. Both stationary and roving checkpoints will be implemented. (NBC 15 WPMI)
