  1. Police say more than 200 catalytic converter thefts have occurred in Mobile so far this year. The number is on track to surpass last year's total when just over 300 catalytic converters were stolen. Cory Parker, the owner of Dean's Auto & Exhaust in Daphne, says the part is costly to replace and drivers should consider installing anti-theft devices. (Fox 10 News)
  2. A Mobile man has been sentenced to two years in prison for using his access to confidential information as a hotel manager to commit fraud. 31-year-old Brandon Thomas Canady had formerly admitted to using his access at the Hilton Garden Inn downtown to bill unsuspecting guests and then refund the same accounts to debit cards. Canady allegedly made away with more than $40,000 from conducting the fraudulent schemes at two separate hotels. (Fox 10 News)
  3. Police are investigating after an 18-year-old was shot at Barrington Park Apartments on Wednesday afternoon. Officials say the incident occurred around 2:00 p.m. at the complex off of Cottage Hill Road near Grant Street. As of Wednesday evening, the unidentified victim was receiving treatment for multiple gunshot wounds that police called "life-threatening." (WKRG News 5)
