🌱 Circle K Robbery + Xavier Flake Acquitted Of 2019 Shooting

Here are the top three stories today in Mobile:
- Late Tuesday night, a man was reportedly attacked and robbed by five people at a Circle K gas station in Mobile. Police responded to a report of a robbery at the Circle K located at 7102 Cottage Hill Road around 10:30 p.m. According to investigators, the victim was punched and pushed to the ground, where he was hit and his money was removed from his pockets. The investigation is ongoing. (WKRG News 5)
- Xavier Flake, 24, has been acquitted of the 2019 murder of a Mobile teen. Flake had been charged in the shooting death of 17-year-old TyDarius Jones at Rickarby Park but was found not guilty by a jury. He was also found not guilty of firing a gun into a building. Flake was released from jail on Monday afternoon after the acquittal. (WKRG News 5)
- One person was killed and two were injured in a shooting that occurred outside a West Mobile apartment complex. Residents of the Cottage Hill Road complex heard gunshots fired in the parking lot right before midnight. Officers claim that two cars pulled up beside each other and opened fire before speeding away. Cottage Hill Road was closed until 3 a.m. between Schillinger and Cody Road as police investigated.
