Here are the top three stories today in Mobile:

  1. The Mobile County Sheriff's Office Flotilla assisted ALEA's Marine Patrol Division in searching for and rescuing a Fairhope man who crashed his boat in south Alabama. The incident occurred on Saturday when Kevin Olmstead, 53, grounded his Ranger Bay Center Console in Portersville Bay. It took rescue crews roughly four hours to locate the man. (AL.com)
  2. Mobicon will take place on Friday, May 27 from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Renaissance Mobile Riverview Plaza Hotel. The event will be hosting various pop-culture panels, parties, and activities for comic culture enthusiasts. Proceeds from the event will be benefiting the Mobile non-profit Mobicon Foundation.
