First, today's weather:

Here are the top three stories today in Mobile:
- Mobile County Public School System held an active shooter drill at Semmes Middle School. The drill was a joint effort between the district, the Mobile County Sheriff's Office, and the Semmes Police Department. The county's 2022-2023 school year starts on Wednesday. (Fox 10 News)
- Mobile County Public School bus drivers gathered on Thursday for a driving orientation course. The orientation occurred in Robertsdale and had over 300 drivers in attendance. The course covered a variety of topics from bus operation to bus evacuation procedures. The training was hands-on. (Fox 10 News)
- The USA Health Mobile Diagnostic Center is expanding its services. The center will begin offering psychiatry care due to Michael Marshall, MD joining the center's staff. The services will focus on adult psychiatric conditions such as anxiety, mood, and psychotic disorders. He has already begun accepting patients. (USA Health System)

- The City of Mobile is sending out unpaid parking ticket notices. Anyone with an unpaid ticket may have their car booted on Aug. 8. (Twitter)
- The Mobile County Animal Shelter is offering a special adoption fee discount. Adoptions will be only $40. Some animals are completely sponsored. (Twitter)
- The grand opening of the Free Little Art Gallery is on Aug. 12 at Conde-Charlotte Museum. The event begins at 5:00 p.m. (City of Mobile)
