Here are the top three stories in Mobile today:

  1. Mobile community members are coming together to keep a beloved local Catholic school open. A GoFundMe campaign was able to raise over $450,000 in funds so Heart of Mary Catholic School can continue to educate its K-12 students. "I've been given the opportunity to give something back to an institution that has given that has given me things that have been the foundation of my livelihood," said Heart of Mary Alum and Board member Karlos Finley.   2. Funding for the Downtown Mobile Airport has been approved by members of the Mobile County Commission. The approval allocates $5 million dollars in funds that will be paid out at $1 million each year. An additional $5 million was approved for roads projects associated with the Downtown Mobile Airport.   3. Michael Hansworth, 41, was arrested for allegedly punching his girlfriend in the head on Mar. 26. Mobile police were called to the scene at South of Dauphin Apartments around 8 p.m. After the arrest, Hansworth was charged with third-degree domestic violence and assault. (WKRG News 5)
