🌱 Grease Blockage On Holleman Drive + MCHD Rabies Vaccination

Here are the top stories in Mobile today:

  1. According to Mobile Area Water & Sewer System (MAWSS), a grease blockage at a residence on Holleman Drive caused more than 30,000 gallons of wastewater to flow into Eight Mile Creek on Nov. 30. The exact estimate of the wastewater spill is about 30,175 gallons. MAWSS crews have cleared the blockage, stopped the overflow, and are taking steps to prevent future overflows. (WKRG News 5)
  2. The Mobile County Health Department (MCHD) is hosting several rabies vaccination events during the month of December. MCHD urges residents to protect themselves and their family members by getting their dogs, cats, and ferrets vaccinated at the event. (WKRG News 5)
  3. The Mobile City Council approved a master services agreement with Volkert, Inc. for the design of streetscape improvements in Downtown Mobile. (NBC 15 WPMI)
  4. Mississippi-based construction firm JESCO, Inc., in a joint venture with Volkert Inc., is among the leading companies that could be part of a team awarded to build Mobile's new $252 million commercial airline terminal at the Mobile Aeroplex at Brookley. (al.com)
