🌱Judge Uses Aniah's Law + Ted Middleton Boat Ramp Reopens

Here are the top stories in Mobile today:

  1. Jeremiah Allen, a man suspected of shooting and killing a man at a Citgo gas station in 2019, was out on bond when he was charged with third-degree domestic violence Thanksgiving morning. A Mobile County Circuit Court Judge revoked Allen's bond using Aniah's Law. This law allows judges to deny or revoke bonds for those charged with violent felony offenses. (WKRG News 5)
  2. The Alabama Department of Conservation and Natural Resources' (ADCNR) State Lands Division announced that renovations to the Ted Middleton Boat Ramp in Mobile County are complete and the facility is open to the public. The boat ramp is located on Battleship Parkway directly across from the USS Alabama Battleship Memorial Park. The facility was closed in May of this year for a major upgrade. (NBC 15 WPMI)
  3. Beginning Dec. 12, the city of Mobile will be replacing and upgrading hundreds of lighting fixtures along interstates 10 and 65 to improve safety and the overall appearance of these major routes. (Lagniappe)
  4. The Mobile Public Safety department is looking for recruits for fire and police departments. (FOX10 News)
  5. A new space opened Thursday at Mobile's West Regional Library that offers teens an area where they can do homework, read, or make new friends. (FOX10 News)
