Jury Delivers Split Verdict + New Vehicles for EMS

Here are the top stories today in Mobile:
- Late on Wednesday morning, the jury came back with a split verdict in a federal trial of the accused Mobile cop killer Marco Perez from a 2019 shooting. Perez was faced with four charges, the most serious of which was obstructing justice by killing a witness, Officer Sean Tuder. He was found guilty on two of the four charges. (AL.com)
- The Mobile County Commission has given $312,000 to the Mobile County Emergency Services to allow for the purchases of new four-wheel drive vehicles to aid in emergencies. With these new vehicles, the Rescue Squad will be able to provide faster response times for emergencies in hard-to-reach places. Each vehicle will be stocked with all of the same life-saving equipment and devices that are on ambulances and will be staffed with advanced life support medics. (FOX10 News)
- Bienville Bites is going to be offering their haunted food tours during the month of October to celebrate the spooky side of Mobile history. (FOX10 News)
- William Carroll is returning to the Mobile City Council after winning a highly unusual runoff race against recently deceased incumbent, Levon Manzie. (AL.com)
- A Mobile family is still seeking justice three years after a mother of two, Angelisha Jones, was shot and killed. (NBC 15 WPMI)
