🌱 K-9 Unit Dies From Shooting + Mobile Youth Curfew Success

Here are the top three stories today in Mobile:

  1. A large law enforcement presence gathered at Mobile's Med Vet Animal Hospital on Friday to pay their final respects to a K-9 officer killed in the line of duty. Exo, a Pascagoula Police Department K-9 officer, was shot last week during an incident involving a murder suspect. 36-year-old Michael Wayne Robinson reportedly shot the dog on Jun. 23 and is currently being held without bond.   2. Jul. 4 is finally here. Are you unsure about what is open and what is closed during the federal holiday in Mobile? News 5 has compiled a list of stores and services that will be operating during the holiday. Grocery shoppers are advised to shop at Aldi, Sam's Club, Walmart, Whole Foods, and Publix. Avoid banks, liquor stores, post offices, and most fast food establishments. (WKRG News 5)
  3. Mobile law enforcement reports no major incidents during the downtown entertainment district curfew. The youth curfew has been around for a few years but recent incidents have brought it to the forefront. The departments are attributing the recent success to the community's response. (Fox 10 News)
