Here are the top three stories in Mobile today:
- A Mobile man who shot his disabled uncle in the chest gets 50 years in prison on an assault charge. Elante McCuien was sentenced for Assault 1st for shooting his disabled uncle. A jury convicted him in January of 2022. (NBC 15 WPMI)
- Mobile police reported that one woman and two men stole a car at Cabana Apartments on Friday morning. The team allegedly used pepper spray and brandished a gun on the car owner. The three carjackers are still at large. (WKRG News 5)
- Mobilians may be able to qualify for new roofs through a city program. The City of Mobile Neighborhood Development Department has created the Critical Repair Program, in which Mobile residents can apply to replace their roofs. The federal program requires Mobile residents to meet a certain income threshold. (WKRG News 5)
