Here are the top three stories today in Mobile:
- A man was fatally shot in the parking lot of University Hospital on Easter. 42-year-old Robert McMillian drove to the emergency room to check on a friend who had been shot in Prichard 30 minutes prior. According to investigators, an argument broke out between several people known to those involved in the Prichard shooting. During this incident, the driver of a gray Hyundai Sonata exited the vehicle and shot McMillian, who succumbed to his injuries. (Fox 10 News)
- Mobile teens and the community are invited to attend a local event to stand up against gun violence. Tomorrow (Apr. 20), the "It Takes All of Us" event will be held at Unity Point Park at 3:00 p.m. Attendees can write messages on posters about how gun violence has impacted their life and their city. - With many schools along the Gulf Coast closed for spring break this week, there are plenty of things to do right here in Mobile. On Thursday (Apr. 21), head over to Mardi Gras Park for a viewing of Grease at 7:30 p.m. The evening of Friday (Apr. 22) has two family-friendly events scheduled: a Kids Community Night at Lavretta Arts and Recreation Center, and Family Night Fun at Harmon Recreation Center.
