- A Mobile mother is suing Springhill Medical Center for the death of her newborn daughter last year. When Teiranni Kidd gave birth in July of 2019, her baby's umbilical cord was wrapped around her neck, which caused major brain damage that led to her passing nine months later. Kidd alleges that a cyberattack on Springhill at the time of delivery resulted in the failure of electronic devices, so doctors couldn’t properly monitor her child’s condition. The lawsuit claims the medical center didn't do enough to prevent the attack and downplayed its severity. (WEAR)
