Here are the top three stories today in Mobile:

  1. Eleven people were arrested on Wednesday in a Mobile gambling ring sting. A search warrant was executed at multiple homes on Highland Avenue by Mobile Police's Narcotics/Vice Unit, who seized two grams of marijuana, along with $4,022 in gambling proceeds, and one firearm was taken for safekeeping. The illegal gambling was taking place through a dice game, according to police. (WKRG News 5)
  2. Former President Donald Trump has canceled his planned July appearance in Mobile, according to a statement from American Freedom Tour. Trump's last appearance in Mobile was back in 2015 when he was on the presidential campaign trail. (NBC 15 WPMI)
  3. More than 17,000 registered Mobile County voters need to update their address information, according to election officials. Many voters have address discrepancies and will need to provide updated information by May 9 to avoid problems at the polls. The Mobile League of Women Voters president Suzanne Schwartz cautions that voters should ensure their information is correct and know where their polling location is because, in recent primary races, outcomes in Mobile County have been close and decided by dozens of votes.
