Here are the top stories today in Mobile:

  1. The Mobile DA's Office recently announced that a man was found guilty of a murder that happened three years ago. A Mobile County jury found Alexander Bridges guilty of the 2018 murder of Richard Smith, who was shot and killed on Mohawk St. in Mobile. (WKRG News 5)
  2. Physics, geometry and engineering principles are coming together for students from three Mobile County Public Schools who designed and built different machines with the same goal: To launch a pumpkin as far as possible. (NBC 15 WPMI)
  3. Three couples have filed civil wrongful death lawsuits against Mobile Infirmary Medical Center and a local fertility clinic, alleging the hospital and clinic were negligent after a hospital patient wandered into an embryology laboratory and dropped five frozen embryos that had undergone in vitro fertilization, according to court documents filed in September.   4. A judge sentenced a Mobile man to 10 years in prison on Thursday, Oct. 28, for possessing children pornography. William Glover, 25, was charged with possessing/disseminating obscene matter of a child less than 17 years old. (WKRG News 5)
  5. The U.S. Department of Transportation's Federal Aviation Administration has accepted the Mobile Downtown Airport into the Military Airport Program. (FOX10 News)
