- Due to the ongoing Russian invasion of Ukraine, the Port of Mobile will only be receiving one last pig iron shipment from Russia. Indiana company SDI believes that even though Mobile's port will be losing business in doing so, it is well prepared to find new trade endeavors as a result. This change in relations may even lead to certain supply chain issues being solved, as it is a chance for US exporters to fix some of the disrupted supply chains out of some regions. (NBC 15 WPMI)
- On Thursday, WKRG will be hosting WKRG 5 Day at the History Museum of Mobile. Patrons of the museum on this day will only be required to pay $5 for admission. Admission includes access to two museum exhibits, "The Vikings Begin" and "A History of Mobile in 22 Objects." Bring the whole family for a day of fun and learning! (WKRG News 5)
- On Monday afternoon, Mobile police arrested a man who was in possession of drugs and counterfeit cash at a Mobile hotel. At around 3:42 p.m., officers arrived at America's Best Inn on West I-65 Service Road South on account of a burglary and arrested 37-year-old Nykori McClain. McClain will now be facing charges of Forgery, Burglary, Possession of Controlled Substance, Possession of Marijuana, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. (WKRG News 5)
