Here are the top 3 stories in Mobile today:
- A Mobile man was assaulted by an unknown assailant, according to the Mobile Police Department. Police responded to the 2300 block of Airport Boulevard to find a man struck by an unknown object multiple times. The victim was transported to an area hospital with a non-life-threatening injury. Police are still investigating. (Fox 10 News)
- A New Orleans man has been sentenced to twelve years in prison for robbing a Mobile bank. Aaron Rudolph pleaded guilty to holding up the Servis 1st Bank on Old Shell Road in Aug. 2017. Rudolph also robbed banks in Louisiana and Florida. (FOX10 News)
- The City of Mobile's bond rating has been increased by S&P Global Ratings. The increase is in response to the city's strong financial position and growing local economy. This new rating will allow the City to be eligible to borrow more money towards projects. Mayor Sandy Stimpson says the new rating reflects all of the hard work put in by the City Council and employees. (NBC 15 WPMI)
