Here are the top three stories in Mobile today:

  1. The Mobile Area Water & Sewer System has located PFAS in the drinking water. The organization alerted customers about the chemicals after they were located by the Environmental Protection Agency. According to the organization's website, exposure to PFAS can result in a wide range of adverse health outcomes such as cancer and immune effects. (Fox 10 News)
  2. The Mobile City Council is considering a $30 million contribution towards the Mobile Regional Airport's new terminal. The terminal will be built at the Aeroplex at Brookley Field as part of a plan to move commercial flights to the Mobile Downtown Airport. The exact number of gates for the new terminal will apparently depend on supply chain issues. (Fox 10 News)
  3. The investigation into two University of South Alabama faculty members' racially insensitive photos has concluded. Bob Wood and Alex Sharland will return to the school, according to the university. The investigation was about Wood's Confederate costume and Sharland's noose/whip costume.
