🌱 Residents Asked To Remove Political Signs + Record Heat In Mobile

Hello all. I'm back with your fresh edition of the Mobile Daily. Here's all the local news you need to know right now.


First, today's weather:

Record-breaking temperatures. High: 103 Low: 81.


Here are the top three stories in Mobile today:

  1. The City of Mobile is asking residents to remove political campaign signs. Many campaigns have ended and signs are reportedly becoming an issue for city crews that cut along the right of way. Please remove signs from telephone poles, trees, medians, or the right of way. Signs can remain on private property. If a sign is found in the right of way, a $25 fine can be issued. (NBC 15 WPMI)
  2. The City of Mobile will be hosting a July 4th celebration at Cooper Riverside Park and Mardi Gras Park from 4:00 p.m., to 9:30 p.m. Guests will be able to participate in games, bounce houses, live music, and more. Fireworks will start at 9:00 p.m. Everyone is invited. (WKRG News 5)
  3. Residents of Mobile are preparing for record temperatures throughout the rest of the week. Some area churches are offering free water and cooling towels to individuals in need while area doctors are providing tips on identifying heat-related illnesses. The National Weather Service reminds residents to not leave home without water, emergency numbers, and a shade option. (Fox 10 News)
