- Redrawing the maps of Mobile's city jurisdiction is once again being seriously considered. The idea was first brought up in 2016 to pull back the three-mile jurisdiction of mobile to a mile and a half. According to a filing with the state of Alabama, Mobile claims to lose nearly $10 million a year providing services in this area. (NBC 15 WPMI)
- The Mobile County Sheriff's Department is investigating an attempted carjacking that occurred early Thursday afternoon. The incident occurred near Highway 98, north of Semmes. The driver of the vehicle attempted to give two people a ride and they tried to rob him. An altercation occurred before the car crashed and the carjackers fled. (FOX10 News)
