🌱 Mobile County School Bus Drivers Needed + Car Booting Initiative

Here are the top three stories today in Mobile:

  1. Mobile County Public Schools reports that it has enough bus drivers to start the 2022-2023 school year. The district is still searching for additional drivers to support its bus fleet. The district uses replacements to fill holes in the bus route schedule when they occur. Additional incentives are being offered to find more drivers. (NBC 15 WPMI)
  2. A man was struck by bullet fragments while walking around downtown. The incident occurred at the corner of Dauphin Street and Joachim Street. The Mobile Police Department responded to the incident. There have not been any arrests related to the incident as of Tuesday evening. (Fox 10 News)
  3. The City of Mobile will begin booting vehicles with outstanding parking tickets. The booting initiative will begin on Monday, Aug. 8. Final ticket warnings will be sent out this week. Specific booting fees have not been disclosed, but they will likely cost up to $1,000. Pay your outstanding tickets before your car is booted. (UTV 44)
