  1. Mobile County Public School's Hankins Middle School went into lockdown on Wednesday morning after a gun was discovered in a student's backpack. The student was disciplined in accordance with the Student Code of Conduct and an investigation will be performed. The school resumed normal activities following the incident. (WKRG News 5)
  2. The City Of Mobile is currently hiring a new Director of Parks and Recreation. The new hire would direct 110 green spaces totaling approximately 1,300 acres. Click the link for a full description of the position and its responsibilities. (Press Release Desk)
  3. A settlement has reportedly been reached in a deadly school bus crash that occurred on I-65 in October of 2019. The incident involved a rollover crash of a bus that resulted in the suffocation of Mobile County Public School bus driver Kimberleigh Welch by the bus roof. The settlement amount has not been disclosed, as it is confidential. (Fox 10 News)
