Here are the top stories in Mobile today:
- A 19-year-old man has been arrested in a shooting that wounded five people near Ladd-Peebles Stadium, where a high school football game was being played. Jai Scott of Semmes was charged Saturday with five counts of attempted murder; the motive for the shooting has not been announced. Mobile police also released a blurry photograph of three people on the department's Facebook page Saturday morning, describing them as persons of interest in the case. (WXXV News 25)
- Senator Tommy Tuberville stopped by Mobile Monday morning. Local leaders and Mobile Area Chamber of Commerce members got a chance to hear the senator speak about the latest happenings in Washington, while also getting some of their most pressing questions answered. The top areas of discussion included infrastructure and rebuilding the American workforce. (FOX10 News)
- Local nonprofit Vivian's Door will host its first Black Farmer Town Hall event in Mobile. (WKRG News 5)
- A small group of activists has started monthly events to try and get a handle on gun violence and bring communities across Mobile County together. (WKRG News 5)
- A West Mobile restaurant has its promotional signage stolen in the 1200 block of Hillcrest. (FOX10 News)
