Here are the top stories in Mobile today:
- On Sunday, the city of Mobile announced that a new project to rebuild Texas Street will begin on Monday, Nov. 29, in Mobile. This project was a priority for the late district Two councilman, Levon Manzie. It will include new streets, curbs, and gutters, as well as new water, stormwater, sewer, and gas components. - Mobile Fire Rescue crews responded to a house fire near Bishop State Community College's central campus. The call came in at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday morning for a house on Ryland's Street. Nobody was home at the time of the fire and no one was hurt. (WKRG News 5)
- Mobile Parks and Recreation is committed to hosting outdoor events during the pandemic in order to give people a chance to spend time with their loved ones. (utv44.com)
- Mobile Bay National Estuary Program is working with restaurants to 'Ditch the Disposables' and find real solutions for the environment and the customers ordering takeout, as non-recyclable containers are now very common pollutants. (NBC 15 WPMI)
