Antiques At The Gardens Show Set For Its 14th Year

MOUNTAIN BROOK, AL — The 14th Annual Antiques at the Gardens show is set for October 3-6 at the Birmingham Botanical Gardens. This event, benefiting the BBG since 2006, has become one of the premier antiques shows in the state.

The 2019 show, which is presented by IBERIABANK, will include talks by 11 nationally acclaimed interior designers, architects and landscape designers, and booths hosted by 22 dealers specializing in antiques, furniture, porcelain, fine art, jewelry, silver, Oriental rugs, rare books, home décor and garden accessories.

The Red Diamond Lecture Series featured speakers this year will include designer Markham Roberts and gardeners Renny Reynolds and Jack Staub.

  • Tastebuds panel discussion sponsored by Flower magazine featuring David Baker, Ronda Carman and Frances Schultz. 11 a.m.–12:30 p.m.
  • Gala in the Gardens hosted by Friends of Birmingham Botanical Gardens honoring Emily and Bill Bowron. 6 p.m. - 11 p.m.

Friday, Oct 4:

  • Markham Roberts: "The Way I See It" 10:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.
  • Renny Reynolds & Jack Staub: "Chasing Eden" 1:30 p.m. - 2:30 p.m.

Saturday, Oct. 5:

  • "Inside/Out" Panel Discussion with Gavin Duke, Lee Ledbetter, Ashley Whittaker, 11 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
  • "Entertaining Today" with Cathy Graham & Alex Hitz. 2 p.m. - 3 p.m.

Sunday, Oct. 6:

  • Brunch with Lisa Fine & Richard Keith Langham, 11 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
  • Tastemakers Panel sponsored by ARC RealtyBecky Boyle Interiors, Blackjack Horticulture, Jared Hughes Designs, Parkes & Lamb Interiors, Virginia Cheek Design. 1:30 p.m. - 2:30 p.m.

Daily general admission tickets are $15, and a weekend pass is $25.
