Barnes Selected As New Board Of Education President
The Mountain Brook school board has a new leader after it voted to appoint board member Nicky Barnes to president.

MOUNTAIN BROOK, AL - The Mountain Brook Board of Education has a new leader. Nicky Barnes, who has served on the board since 2015, was voted in as the new president this week, taking over for Elizabeth Dunn, who stepped down from the board last month after 10 years of service.
Barnes, a mother of four children who have all attended Mountain Brook schools, has been very active in the PTO, serving as PTO president at both Crestline Elementary and Mountain Brook High School. She has also served on the board of the Mountain Brook City Schools Foundation and on the PTO Council.
Tommy Luckie was named board vice president, replacing Brad Sklar, who will remain on the board.
