Botanical Gardens Spring Plant Sale Set For April 12-14

MOUNTAIN BROOK, AL - The annual Birmingham Botanical Gardens Spring Plant Sale has become a highly-anticipated event, and this year's sale has been set for April 12-14 at Brookwood Village. The Friends of Birmingham Botanical Gardens Spring Plant Sale features more than 100,000 plants, most of which have been nurtured by volunteers at The Gardens.

This year marks the Friends of Botanical Gardens' 50th Anniversary celebration, and Thursday, April 11, the Spring Plant Sale Preview Party for the sale will take place at 5:30 p.m. Tickets to the event are $45.

Some of the plants for sale this year include ferns, roses, perennials, shrubs, herbs, vegetables and irises, among other plants.

This sale offers a wonderful opportunity to learn from experts and find distinctive plants that can be hard to find in ordinary garden centers. A purchase from the event also helps The Friends in their important mission: to protect, nurture, and share the wonders of Birmingham Botanical Gardens.

Friday's sale is from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.; Saturday's sale is from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.; and Sunday's sale is from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. Admission is free.
