MOUNTAIN BROOK, AL — The Mountain Brook City Council has approved the installation of a new 4-way stop sign at a busy intersection near Crestline Elementary School. The sign will be placed at the intersection of Dexter Avenue and Vine Street.

Skipper Consultants, the city’s traffic consultant, performed a study of the intersection and recommended the stop sign additions to enhance safety.

Every other four-legged intersection on Dexter Avenue north of Vine Street is a four-way stop.
According to the city, the Mountain Brook Police Department will place two message boards on Vine Street to alert motorists of the change.
