MOUNTAIN BROOK, AL — Anyone who has ever wanted to sit down with a Mountain Brook police officer and discuss his or her job, issues in the city or just chat about Mountain Brook can do so in a couple of weeks. The Mountain Brook Police Department is hosting "Coffee with s Cop" at Crestline Bagel Nov. 19.

"Coffee with a Cop" is a national initiative started 2011 aimed at bringing police officers and the community members they serve together to discuss issues and learn more about each other.

The program gives law enforcement officers opportunities, outside of crisis situations, to relax and chat with residents in the community they serve, and provides citizens with access and opportunity for distraction-free conversations with their local police officers.
