MBJH, Brookwood Forest Have Best Teachers In Alabama

MOUNTAIN BROOK, AL - As if the schools in Mountain Brook need more accolades - the school system was already ranked as the best in Alabama - two of the system's schools took the top two spots in Niche.com's list of schools in Alabama with the best teachers. Mountain Brook's other four schools each placed in the top 25 as well.

The 2019 Best Teachers in Alabama ranking is based on rigorous analysis of academic and teacher data from the U.S. Department of Education along with millions of reviews from students and parents. Niche used student and parent ratings of teachers, teacher salaries, teacher absenteeism, teacher tenure, student-teacher ratio, and the Niche Academics Grade for the school.

Mountain Brook Junior High School topped the list, and was the only school in the state that made the national top 200 list for best teachers. Brookwood Forest Elementary School took the second spot, and ranked 593rd nationally.

Mountain Brook Elementary (6th), Cherokee Bend (7th) and Crestline Elementary (9th) each made the top 10. Mountain Brook High School ranked 25th, and was the only high school in the state that made the top 25.
