What is the timeline for the city in regard to coronavirus? Opening City Hall, parks, etc?

City Hall is still closed unless by appointment. We continue to conduct work by phone and email. (The city's recently adopted plan) opens up the playing fields and the playgrounds at Canterbury Park, the Crestline Tot Lot and Overton Park, but restrooms and water fountains will still be closed for now.

Will City Hall be open in time for the July runoff elections, or will there be an alternate voting venue?

I expect City Hall to be open in time for the Runoff election in July.

Why is there always road work going on at Mountain Brook Parkway?

There has been some storm damage a few weeks ago that took out several utility poles and we had a drainage pipe to be repaired last week on MB Parkway.

Is the JCC in the city limits of Mountain Brook?

No, it is across the street from our City limits, but our Police Dept does patrol this area and our beat cars make a loop through their parking lot several times a day.
