Mountain Brook Guard Colby Jones Receives South Alabama Offer

Mountain Brook's new shooting guard Colby Jones has received a basketball scholarship offer from the University of South Alabama.

MOUNTAIN BROOK, AL - The Mountain Brook Spartans Basketball team, coming off a state championship, is loaded with talent, as anyone who follows high school basketball knows. Although where some of this team's stars will play after their high school days are over remains to be seen, what is known for sure is that some Spartans hoop stars already have multiple options to play at the next level - including junior shooting guard Colby Jones.

Jones, a transfer from Pinson Valley High School, recently received an offer from the University of South Alabama. This adds to his list of offers that includes UAB, Samford and Middle Tennessee State.

Jones will play his first season in a Spartans uniform this coming year after starring at PVHS. Fellow Spartans Trendon Watford, Alex Washington and Lior Berman have already received college offers as well, and Mountain Brook head coach Bucky McMillan said he expects juniors Holt Bashinsky and Paulie Stramaglia to also receive offers.
