Mountain Brook Releases 2020 Football Schedule
Mountain Brook will start its first season in 6A against an old 7A rival in the 2020 season.
MOUNTAIN BROOK, AL — Mountain Brook will move down from 7A classification to 6A in 2020, but the 2020 season schedule released this week shows the Spartans opening its season against a familiar 7A foe.
The Spartans will start 2020 against Vestavia Hills August 21 at home, before tacking their new 6A Region 5 schedule.
The 2020 schedule looks like this:

"We have been one of the smallest 7A teams since the AHSAA adopted the seven class system in 2014," Spartans head coach Chris Yeager said. "Competing against schools twice our size we embraced the challenge, and always tried to come up with innovative ways to adapt. We look forward to taking all of the things we learned and using them in this next challenge. There are great players and teams in 6A. We are excited about the new challenges and opportunities."
